Random update

Today I was Central Market doing a little bit of light grocery shopping and I saw that their corn is on sale 10/$1!

Of course I bought 10 ears. We go through corn very quickly here in this household. We incorporate it one way or another in probably 4 out of 7 meals.

Yum!

Tonight I'm making mahi mahi. I was roped into trying a sample at the demonstration kiosk (in between the seafood and fruit sections) and WHOA. That had to be some of the best fish I have tasted in my life. The lady pointed me towards the rub she used and advised me on how to cook it. The fish had just been flown in fresh from Hawaii that morning so I couldn't resist trying it out on my own. I've got some pretty high standards to live up to but here's to hoping that mine comes out as good as the bit I tasted earlier today!

On a slightly different subject... thank goodness Babystyle is back! There was a bit of a dry spell there for a while but now, now I think we're on the right path.

Newbies from The Gap:

Has anyone else been listening to the new Coldplay album? I'm really loving it. I know it's gotten some negative reviews but I don't care, I think it's great! I have been listening to it non stop for the last 2 weeks!

I'm alive, I'm alive

I have been so busy! The week of my birthday was just ridiculous. We had so many cakes and celebrations, it was just a big blur of fun!

Still have nine-thousand other things to do to get back on track but I wanted to share the discovery I made last Friday at Northpark.

The Gap just started selling their Nursery Collection.

Can I just say awesome!

Makes me ready to have another baby!

I really, really, really love The Gap.

More of an update soon, promise!

Greener pastures

Today I ventured out of the house (technically this would be my first since I was diagnosed with my foot impairment, unless you count the last Chemistry Set show last Friday. Though, I wouldn't REALLY count it because I sat on a stool most of the night) to the mall and Target, of course.

I've been perusing the baby/kids section of The Gap
since before Christmas. FINALLY they have some stock in the store! Has anyone else noticed the lack of stock lately? The shelves have been completely bare for the last month and a half!

Anyway, they really have some great Spring stuff right now. Terrific, bright colors that make me get excited about Spring time (even if it is January and we technically don't have "Spring" in Texas). Here are a few things I love!

I really love the greens and blues and I'm very into bold colors in solid prints right now. I made a few purchases with some Christmas gc's/cash (including some of the above). Rylee has so many bathing suits, I think I'm obsessed!

At my Target trip today, I discovered (in the Global Bazaar section, yay! It's that time of year!) that Target is selling their version of the Whole Foods/Central Market re-usable shopping bag! It's a zipper pouch that turns into a bag! Only .99 and check out that print, too cute! I bought a few of these today - I figured that I would get a lot of use out of them considering I visit Target about 5 times a week on average.

Super cheap, super cute and very GREEN!
